June Once Upon a Sketch Challenge

It's been a long while since I played with the ladies over at Once Upon a Sketch. This month's theme is "The best things in life aren't things" with that theme in mind, here is my entry:

 Based on this sketch:

The photo is one of my daughter Chloe (she is in the middle) and her two friends. They all met while taking riding lessons at a local barn, and spent the summer of 2011 at horse shows. Everyone called them the three horsekeeters. They were inseparable. I took this picture at a show over mother's day weekend. They had made the hats and were waiting to show on their "stick horses". It makes me smile remembering the three of them, and I'm glad that although they no longer ride together they still have all the great memories of the fabulous summer they spent together. Isn't that what life is all about?

I made a texture paste and used a doily stencil, did some misting with glimmer mists and splattered some Lindy's color shot. I added a bit of cheese cloth for added texture as well.
Thanks for taking a peek, and create something wonderful today!

xoxo Amanda
